Application for Taxi Vocational Licence
If you do not have a Taxi Vocational
Licence and are 30 years and above, we can assist you to get
one. We will sponsor your VL training under our Special Run
Scheme. The application process is as follows:

Fill up an application form at
our office. |

Go through an interview and theory
test. |

| 3. |
Selected applicants will have
their applications sent to the Land Transport Authority
(LTA) for approval. Applicants will have to pay through
SMRT Taxis $20 for the application fee to LTA. The approval
process will take 1-2 months from date of application. |

Successful candidates will then
have to undergo a medical check-up and once certified
medically fit, will have their course dates arranged.

| 5. |
The VL course will last for 7weeks
and is conducted from Mondays to Fridays (excluding Public
Holidays), 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. |
N.B.: Candidates will have to pay an
initial deposit of $500. After successful completion of the
course, this $500 will be transferred over to the deposit
payable as a hirer.
Please also note that all successful candidates are required
to hire a SMRT Taxi* for a minimum period of 6 months, or
the $500 deposit will be forfeited.
* Within 7 weeks upon obtaining the Vocational Licence, they
must hire the taxi.
